PMA reported that digital single lens reflex sales in the United Kingdom has soared to 800% in comparison to four years ago.

Figures are expected to show that unit sales of DSLRs have soared by 350,000 since 2004.

By the end of this year PMA expects the number of DSLRs sold to total around 400,000. Four years ago the figure stood at around 50,000. UK: DSLR Sales Up by 800%

Entry level Digital SLR are currently sold at very attractive price, a sub US$600.00 model is available from major manufacturers including Nikon, Canon and Sony.
