It may just not be what we are anticipating - a full frame. The Canon EOS 7D seems like another APS-C cropped factor sensor. The naming (if it is true) of the camera does not sound like it though. Canon traditionally name their APS-C sensor with two digits, such as 30D, 40D and 50D.
A screen shot reviewed that the EOS 7D is mounted with a 18-85 f3.5-5.6 IS USM lens suggested that it looks more like a cropped factor digital single reflex.
The EOS 7D is said to have 18 Megapixel, with Dual DIGIC 4 image processor, 8 frame per second, new auto focus system and with standard ISO setting of up to ISO6400 and ISO12800, similar to Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
Soon enough, we shall what exactly the EOS 7D is. Judging with the leaked features, my bet is it is a 1.6x Crop Factor Sensor. But then again, do you really need a Dual DIGIC 4 image processor for this? Oh ya, are we expecting Canon's latest Hybrid Image Stabilizer?
*Update: Retail price USD$1899.
