This entry is about my personal experience dealing with Shriro Malaysia regarding Tamrac products. Below is how the whole incident goes.

During Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival (KLPF) 2007, I ordered for a Tamrac MX5379 and Tamrac Pro Digital Zoom 9 at the Shriro booth. I was told to pay and receive my items at Tarita Photo Malaysia. I was told that Shiriro is the main distributor for Tamrac products in Malaysia while Tarita Photo Malaysia is their reseller.

After almost two weeks, in between, I gave a few rings to Tarita Photo Malaysia but was informed that the items have yet to come. I decided to call up Shriro Malaysia to clarify the matter as the staff of Shriro Malaysia had promised me that I would be able to receive my items between 17^th and 21^st September 2007.

I rang up Shriro Malaysia, to my surprise, they have no idea about my order and the Tamrac Pro Digital Zoom 9 that I ordered was already out of stock even before the KLPF, but the salesperson convinced me during KLPF that it’s available on their side and I shall be able to collect it next few days.

During my phone conversation, according to Miss Lim of Shriro Malaysia, there is no confirmation on when will new stock arrive and it may take months.

I am not sure how this will be solved, but I hope this issue is look-in-depth and manage professionally by all related parties. It is a waste of time and energy of all related parties should this incident repeats itself in the future.
