This firmware update (Version 1.0.6) incorporates the following fixes and improvements:
Version 1.0.6 firmware update is for use with cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.5. If your camera's firmware is already version 1.0.5, it is not necessary to perform this update. What has been changed in version 1.0.6 firmware?The following fixes and improvements have been incorporated.
More lenses will be supported by the lens aberration correction function of Digital Photo Professional 3.2, Canon's RAW image viewer/editing software. Are the previous versions of the firmware included in version 1.0.6?Yes, the following improvements from the previous version are included: Version 1.0.5 changes:
When EOS 30D is connected to PIXMA Pro 9000 and camera-direct prints are made with PictBridge-compatible printers, semi-gloss paper can be selected in the camera settings.
The maximum burst displayed during continuous shooting is 9 (maximum burst displayed on the viewfinder when shooting in the RAW+JPEG setting is 7). Please refer to the instruction manual for an estimate of the actual number of shots that can be taken continuously. We learned that some products have problems displaying Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese on the LCD monitor when the display language is set to these languages.This problem can be corrected by overwriting the character data stored in the camera. So we request that users experiencing this problem overwrite the firmware.
