3 months back, it was said that Nikon is to release a 18 mega pixel D3 . Few days back, the heat of Nikon upcoming professional digital camera is getting more and more! Even a "might-be-true" prototype including a 3D rendered image is showcased, by Norm Olsen.

“Nikon D3 would have an 18.7-megapixelbuilt by Sony and, in what would be a significant departure for Nikon,an image sensor nearly the size of a full frame of 35mm film.”

ThomHogan, editor of the Nikon DSLR Report, advised a forum reader who hadexpected a February announcement, "Expect a late June announcement withship in August/September instead, and you might be less disappointed."
