Canon’s Swedish VP Robert Westin quoted that Canon will be launching more products next year including new DSLR as soon as January 2008. The current Canon’s line up that is due for replacement are the 400D and Canon full frame DLSR – 5D. According to Photographybay, Canon should be announcing their replacement on the 24th January 2008 , the week before PMA starts. Canon has always been announcing new cameras during PMA. In China, retailers have been told to clear up their Canon 5D stocks and expect its replacement on January 2008. The price for 5D replacement which might be codename as 5D Mark II or 7D shall be lower than the 5D retail price, according to a retailer. In Malaysia, Richard Teh quoted in PhotoMalaysia.com that Canon 5D is now selling below RM7700. We shall stay tune for some updates.
