The landscape shot taken with EF24-105mm F4L IS USM is rather impressive in comparison with the portrait taken. The landscape shot retains details and shows very good contrast and saturation. Further stopping down to F/11 may make a better photo in terms of details.
The portrait although looks good in the overview but when cropped to 100%, the left eye, which looks to be focused, is not. Not a very good reference for portrait photo, maybe due to large aperture of F/2 used. The Sony Alpha DSLR-A900 Indoor Portrait with 100% Cropped beats this easily.
The new Canon full frame boost 21 Megapixel featuring the best CMOS sensor with highly capable noise sensitivity (ISO) performance. Canon claims it to be the best among the current Canon lineup, including the 1D series.
Some interesting features about the new Canon EOS 5D Mark II is the ability to record 1080p High Definition (HD)movies. HD recording in Digital SLR was first introduced by Nikon's D90 amateur lineup digital SLR camera. The Canon EOS 5D Mark II records HD at 1080p while the Nikon D90 does it in 720p, the Canon EOS Mark II cost twice the price of the Nikon D90.
