If you think that this is an entry level DSLR for beginner, think again. The EOS 1000D is more than a beginner’s camera. Apart from the EOS 1000D’s only 3 frame per second shooting rate, this camera are suitable for most photographers to act as a backup body. The continuous shooting mode however has virtually no limit on shooting Large or Fine JPEGs at 3888 x 2592 pixels each as it can shoots as much as 514 images.

Is the entry level camera worth it? Decide yourself, at least with a Canon you need not to worry if your lenses have AF motor built in or not as you can use all Canon’s original and third party lenses with EOS 1000D, unlike Nikon D60, where users can only enjoy auto-focus with AF-S lenses.
